Interesting interview where one of the developers talks about what they are doing with Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 and how the game came about. One of the more interesting things he says is that the game has been in development since before 2008 but won’t come out until spring of 2011. Interesting interview.
One thing I noticed about Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 is that it doesn’t seem to include the more cartoonish characters that the first two installments. Poor Megaman is nowhere to be found.

I will miss the cartoonish stlye of MVC, but it’s that style was made partly in due to the technological limitations on 3d at the time. They used an engine called CPS2 (capcom play system 2). I would assume it would be more cost effective to create a 3d character then animate. As opposed to drawing out HD sprites.
I feel ya. Personally I’m really digging the art style for this game. If what Im hearing is true and the artwork for the game characters that was released is actually in game models then this game is going to truly look like an animated comic book.
