Much in the same vein of the imfamous Super Street Fighter IV character leak, something similar has gone down with Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. I held off on talking about this list but recent official reveals are proving that this may indeed be the real deal. Well, almost the real deal. The leaked list has Mr. Fantastic on it and reps from Capcom have said more than once that Mr. Fantastic is not in the game and that the Fantastic Four would appear in spirit through Super-Skrull. Also there is a rumor based off of Japanese magazine interview with the game’s producer, Ryoto Niitsuma, that Silver Surfer is in the game. So what’s the deal? How could the leaked be proven fake but at the same time get an obscure character like Amaterasu correct? My guess is that the list is probably from an early character roster that has since be changed a bit.
UPDATE: Seems like as soon as I wrote this post Capcom’s Wes Phillips posted this on his Twitter account…
These supposed “final” MvC3 character lists are inaccurate. No one has nailed it thus far. Stay tuned for the realness.
