Yoshinori Ono Recounts A Match He Had WIth Daigo “The Beast” Umehara

While talking to Italian site Next.Game, Yoshinori Ono spoke about when he played Daigo “The Beast” Umehara in Street Fighter IV. It seems Ono wanted to have a friendly match to show off the game but Daigo had another thing in mind which was adding another notch to his belt.

Yoshinori Ono: We once played a so-called “friendly” [match]. He is a boy so serious, so devoted to study and improving himself, that he has no sense of fun: I tried to convince him, I said “play against the producer of Street Fighter IV, this is a great opportunity! Ok, no need to let me win, but at least we can try to make it look even together, to show people the most spectacular things that the game has to offer … and he laughed and continued to massacre me without batting an eyelid, KO within a few seconds …
