Check Out This Super Street Fighter IV Fightstick Birthday Cake

@Capcom_Unity @MarkMan23 @MadCatzInc

It is no secret that I’m a Street Fighter fanatic. My stepson Marcos has also taken a liking to the franchise and loves it almost as much as I do. So when my wife asked me what we should do for his birthday party theme this year, the first thing I could think of was “Street Fighter!”. My wife loves to get custom made cakes for each birthday party she throws and this one was to be no different. I figured a FightStick would make for a great cake and the folks over at Bethel Bakery came through like they usually do. The buttons aren’t exactly where they should be but hey, still looks great (tastes even better). No, the joystick was not functional but it was edible :) . I took a couple of pics and even a quick video so I could share it with all of you. The party took place in a Taekwondo studio and the party had kids learning how to kick, break boards and other good stuff.

Special shout out to Seth Killian for helping me make this happen. Marcos loved it.

Artist Paints B. B. Hood Mural For His Six Year Old Neice

Here is an interesting story. A guy by the name of Ken was asked by his niece to paint a mural on her wall for her sixth birthday. The mural was supposed to be of Little Red Riding Hood. However, Ken went with another character, B. B. Hood. How awesome is that? It is likely that his niece will not be the wiser though there is a cow skeleton on the thing.

“I showed my support for Darkstalkers this weekend by painting a scene from it on my niece’s bedroom wall for her upcoming 6th birthday. She wanted Red Riding Hood… I thought ‘R. R. Hood/B. B. Hood, what the hey…’”

Lil Formers Takes On Street Fighter X Tekken

Matt Moylan (from UDON) does a funny little piece that plays off the fact that Tekken seems to have lost a bit of popularity while Street Fighter’s has been surging in the last couple of years. Personally I really haven’t played much Tekken since Tekken 4 but maybe Street Fighter X Tekken will be the game that gets me into Tekken again. (more…)
