As we get a solid translation, I’ll adjust this post. For now, it’s just the Google translation which you may be able to get some info out of. Just be on the look out for this post to be updated soon… (more…)
New Nakky/Saikyo Blog for 4/9/10:
Nakky Blog 3/26/10: More Questions Answered
This week Nakky did another one of those massive Question and Answer sessions. Azrael only did a cliff note version because no one with half a life has enough time to translate so much. Still he does make note of some interesting things that were talked about. (more…)
Nakky Blog 3/19/10: Saikyo Dojo, Wallpapers and More
Once again Azrael has translated the most recent Nakky blog but has only provided cliff notes instead of a full translation. Nothing big here anyway. (more…)
Nakky Blog 3/5/10: Not Much Here
This week’s Nakky Blog really has nothing interesting it it except for the announcement that something big might be coming next week. Azrael didn’t even bother to do a full translation and I don’t feel like that’s a big deal in this case. He did however provide some cliff notes. (more…)
Nakky Blog 2/25/10: Tournament Qualifers
Some of you may get a kick out of this week’s Nakky Blog but I’m honestly a bit disappointed. I look forward to her blogs because thats usually where the big news is detailed. Nothing much here though
Hello everyone!
Thanks for the massive amount of comments on last week’s blog! You know how in Ibuki’s part on the new character trailer her pet racoon Don made some appearances? I had to do the checking of Don’s images, and it was really strict – we did more retakes for Don than Ibuki.
Well then, first off the details for the Last Chance entry for the Street Fighter IV National Tournament have been decided on, so I’d like to tell you all about it! (You can also find this info on the official site’s special page)
For teams who would like to enter, please fill out the “Last Chance Sign-Up” between 9 and 10AM within the event hall. (Team priority will not be given)
There are 2 Last Chance spots. To decide these spots, we’ll have a tournament! However, the tournament won’t be held on VEWLIX cabinets, but on the XBox 360 with MADCATZ arcade sticks. Of course, you will only be allowed to use arcade characters.
We will announce the tournament brackets at 10:30, and the tourney starts at 11! There will be two blocks, and the winner from each block will get the Last Chance entry spot in the National Tournament!
So now we have 8 teams that have been decided on through qualifiers, as well as the Dream Team! There are still 3 qualifiers left (you still can enter!). With 2 Last Chance spots, that makes for 13 spots so far. We haven’t revealed the 14th and final spot yet, so look forward to it!
Today, there’s one other bit of news I’d like to present to you all! …I say that, but this was already announced yesterday on the Mini Capcom! blog that I’m sure many of you keep up with. As part of the SSFIV Special Features from the e-Capcom website, there will be an “e-Capcom Special DVD” featuring match videos from top players! And our Mini Capcom! staff Ms. Maka and Mr. Minisuke were able to get the scoop on these top players!
Entry No.1, Umehara!
Well known as the God of Capcom fighting games, in SFIV he uses Ryu. He is a member of the Dream Team for the National Tournament. Also, I saw him the other day at Shinjuku station…sorry for staring. Of course, he will be using Ryu in all the matches.Entry No. 2, Iyo!
He took home the championship at the first National Tournament, and is the man who brought out Dhalsim’s true potential. He uses Dhalsim in SFIV. This character and player duo has the highest synch ratio of anyone else (I think at least). He hasn’t been appearing in many big tournaments lately, but it seems that he still keeps his play up! Of course, he will be using Dhalsim in all the matches.Entry No. 3, Shiro!
He took 2nd at SBO together with Iyo, and having won the first Kanto Qualifier his place in the National Tournament is all set. He uses Abel in SFIV. To me, he’s the most sparkling player (you don’t care…). Of course, he will be using Abel in all the matches.Entry No. 4, Kindevu!
He secured his place in Nationals at Kyushu Qualifiers, and his joy at doing so left a big impression. In SFIV he uses Rufus. He has the 2nd best player/character synch ratio (just what I think). He has the title of “Person To Look Out For in 2010″ title on his Viper card. Of course, he will be using Rufus in all the matches!Entry No. 5, Tokido!
He’s a student at Tokyo University, and the best Akuma player…two God-given gifts. He earned his place in the National tournament at the Tohoku Qualifiers. He was at SBO for both SFIV and SFIII, and for SFIV he lost to Makoto. Will he be able to get his revenge on Makoto who is on the Dream Team?!Entry No. 6, Momochi!
As part of Kindevu’s team at the Kyushu Qualifiers, he was also thrilled to earn his spot! He has Grandmaster status for Akuma and Ryu, and Master status for Viper and Ken. He took the title at SBO 09 in SFIII using Makoto. So of course, the character he’ll be using on the e-Capcom DVD is Makoto! He is the second best Akuma player right behind Tokido.Entry No. 7, Tokidoki Nukinkusu!
A famous player who often teams up with Umehara to form the team Umenuki. He hasn’t been playing very much recently, but he’s still boasts the No. 1 BP out of all Chun users! It will be good to see his level-headed play again on the e-Capcom DVD. He will be using Chun for all matches.Entry No. 8, Itabashi Zangief!
His title is “Fair Maiden”. He’s well known as a Virtua Fighter player, but he’s also making his name known in SFIV as a top player! As expected from a Gief player, he has a firm grip on the grapplers characters in the e-Capcom DVD. Naturally, he will be using Zangief for all matches. We had these 8 warriors slug it out! And who came out on top? Heh heh heh, of course I can’t say anything more than that! Everyone, be sure to pick up this DVD and check out these high-level matches for yourself!
Well, I didn’t really have any big news for today, but I did give you some good info that SFIV players can’t miss out on…right? (…I’d like to think so!)
And finally, one announcement. We had a Chu/Shikoku Qualifier scheduled for 3/7 (Sun) at the IKUSA Kochi arcade, but due to circumstances on the arcade operator’s end we are no longer able to hold the qualifier there. Currently, we are looking for a new location at which to hold the qualifier, so please wait for updates as they become available. (The date of the qualifier may end up changing as well.) We are very sorry for the inconvenience! We are running out of time, so I’d like to get this decided on as quickly as possible.
Well then, the day after tomorrow, 2/28 (Sun) is the 2nd Kansai Qualifier! See you all in Kyoto!
Nakky Blog 2/18/10: New Characters, iPhone Game and Collectors Edition
Here’s the big Nakky blog we were waiting for. Turns out though that by the time this blog dropped we new most of the info in it already. Of course it still is a good read. Some interesting details about the new characters’ rival, moves and voice work. (more…)

Here is the fully translated blog that was done by Azrael of the SRK forums. I went ahead and added the images where they belong in the blog so you can see the context in which they were used. (more…)
