Tweet Fighter: Super Street Fighter IV and Street Fighter X Tekken News Coming
There seems to be a bit of a drought around here when it comes to Street Fighter news even though there are several Street Fighter games in the works right now (SF3 Online, SFxT, SSFIV:AE). It seems like we may be getting a bone thrown to us soon courtesy Mr. Ono-san.
So I’ll visit toMoscow in20-21thNov.I’ll planning announce aboutSSFIVand someSFxTKnews. And I’ll have special animation movie. It’s localized.
Yoshinori Ono Pitches Poison For Street Fighter X Tekken and Super Street Fighter IV DLC
You gotta love Ono-san. He is constantly be harassed by fans on Twitter. He get everything from people complaining about the existence of ultras to people wanting to know why Chun Li’s hands are so big. More than anything lately though he has been getting requests for a new Darkstalkers and a Poison appearance in a Street Fighter game. While we all know Ono wants to make a new Darkstalkers, the Poison thing is another matter. I addressed the whole Poison issue here on X-ism a while back and it seems like I may be wrong about her chances of a future appearance.
Hehehe,I had already proposal to SFxTK’s Director about him/her…. ;D Plz wait result. RT @Shayera4U: P O I S O N !!!!
Well if you go back that, we may see Poison popping up in Street Fighter X Tekken which would be interesting considering Ono had said int he past that he’d want to stick with an “all star” line up of the game. Also Ono made mention that he was doing a proposal to the higher ups at Capcom to get the additions to the Arcade Edition added to the console versions.
Thx! I have start writing proposal to upstairs for SSFIV ae’s DLC. Plz wait for the results of it. ;D RT @Veraku: yey!!!
Crossed Arms
Awesome video by an animator by the name of Emezie Okorafor. Check what happens when Kazuya and Ryu battle over who has the best win pose.
Gamespot Interview With Yoshinori Ono And Harada About Street Fighter X Tekken
I stumbled across this video earlier. I’m a bit confused because the video is presented by Gamespot but these are questions that we have heard Yoshinori Ono and Harada asked before. So threre isn’t really anything new here other than the fact that Ono says he wants to see Jun Kazama’s return. If you are familiar with the Tekken series you may know that this may be odd for a couple reason. First she’d be pretty old. Secondly she’s supposed to be dead. Then again Ono has never said these games will be canon.
Street Fighter X Tekken Not Taking Two Years To Make After All
When Street X Tekken was announced one of the only things that kinda stung was the fact that Yoshinori Ono said it would be another two years before we would have the game in our hands. That’s a long time for a game that using using assets from a previous game (Street Fighter IV). With half the casts having models already created and the game’s engine already in place, it didn’t make much sense. Seems like I’m not the only one who felt this way. Check out what he said to IGN.
“At Comic-Con, I think I said to everyone, probably about two years. But then the day after that, Keiji Inafune pulled me into his office and told me off big time, so I suppose I’ll have to make that a bit shorter.”
Now we can all be happier now.

Yoshinori Ono Talks Darkstalkers and Street Fighter X Tekken With Kotaku
Yoshinori Ono continues to make the interview rounds. This time he talked it up with Kotaku about Street Fighter X Tekken and why is it being made instead a new Darkstalkers. Here’s some of Ono’s quotes.
On if the game will play like Tekken or Street Fighter:
“Ultimately what we are heading for is a Street Fighter game, so everyone will have Street Fighter-esque moves. The Tekken characters will be entering the Street Fighter world, so they will play like Street Fighter characters but their moves will be Tekken style.”How he fits Tekken Characters into the Street Fighter world:
“When I was going through all of these moves for Nina I thought ‘I’ve seen this somewhere before,” he said. “It boiled down to Darkstalkers. In Darkstalkers we have chain combos: Light, light, medium, medium, hard, hard. That is a Capcom version of that rhythmic input command. We see great possibilities in these two mixing up. In that same sense, like how chain combos are used to play Tekken, we’ll bring back Nina and Law’s (If law is in the game) into Street Fighter X Tekken, incorporating that chain combo style.”
On why we are getting Street Fighter X Tekken instead of Darkstalkers:
“We decided to bring it up to our management but we thought the discussion was going to go on forever. We were expecting them to have a long discussion over years and years, but as soon as they had a one high management meeting together, they just stood up and shook hands two seconds after the meeting. That was the moment the decision to make this game was made. I was a bit shocked. We have a weekly meeting with (Capcom’s Keiji) Inafune. I bring Darkstalkers up every week and Inafune has still yet to approve it… but I’m going to continue doing it.”
And finally:
“Street Fighter X Tekken is part of a grand scheme of making fighting games the biggest genre of all time.”

Chun-Li Takes On Tekken’s Nina In A Dance Contest At Street Fighter X Tekken Show
Seems that not only did audiences get to see a real life Ryu fight a real life Kazuya at the Street FIghter X Tekken event at Gamescom, there was also a dance off between Chun Li and Nina. And I gotta admit, the girl playing Chun Li has some serious skills!
Footage Of Street Fighter X Tekken Event at Gamescom Featuring Yoshinori Ono As Chun Li
As part of the Street Fighter X Tekken event at Gamescom someone thought it’d be a good idea to have martial artists dressed up as Ryu and Kazuya face off. Seems good enough until the part where Ono shows up dressed like Chun Li. (more…)
Footage Of Street Fighter X Tekken From Gamescom
Earlier today I said that Yoshinori Ono showed the exact same footage of Street Fighter X Tekken that he showed at Comic-Con. I was wrong. Though the gameplay footage is almost the same, it is different. So he here’s the footage from the Gamescom event.
Yoshinori Ono Shows Off Character Models For Tekken Fighters
Yoshinori Ono was getting into a bit of a Twitter batter with Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada. The result? Ono ended up showing off the character models for Kazuya and Nina. (more…)

Lil Formers Takes On Street Fighter X Tekken
Matt Moylan (from UDON) does a funny little piece that plays off the fact that Tekken seems to have lost a bit of popularity while Street Fighter’s has been surging in the last couple of years. Personally I really haven’t played much Tekken since Tekken 4 but maybe Street Fighter X Tekken will be the game that gets me into Tekken again. (more…)
