Maybe you heard of Nao Igarashi already. From what I hear, she’s a pretty well known Cosplayer. In these pictures, she squeezes her behind into a rather skimpy Cammy costume. So what do you think guys? Smash or Pass?

Turbo T Double is back with another joint and it is pretty hot! This dude has time and again dropped hot Street Fighter related songs. Call me a fan.

It is no secret that I’m a Street Fighter fanatic. My stepson Marcos has also taken a liking to the franchise and loves it almost as much as I do. So when my wife asked me what we should do for his birthday party theme this year, the first thing I could think of was “Street Fighter!”. My wife loves to get custom made cakes for each birthday party she throws and this one was to be no different. I figured a FightStick would make for a great cake and the folks over at Bethel Bakery came through like they usually do. The buttons aren’t exactly where they should be but hey, still looks great (tastes even better). No, the joystick was not functional but it was edible . I took a couple of pics and even a quick video so I could share it with all of you. The party took place in a Taekwondo studio and the party had kids learning how to kick, break boards and other good stuff.

Special shout out to Seth Killian for helping me make this happen. Marcos loved it.

I can’t figure out if this guy Aria Tachi has some talent or maybe just too much time on his hands. Either way he has managed to put together an interesting spoof music video featuring some favorite Street Fighter characters.

This has been a really uneventful day with not much to really report. Figure I should drop this one on you guys. Street Fighter meets Lyonheart.

Looks like Street Fighter Vol. 6 is now in store. This volume concludes the storyline taking place around the time of Street Fighter II. UDON has done an excellent job with this series. I’ve already odered my copy. What about you?

It’s been a pretty slow news day but I thought you all would enjoy this video I stumbled upon. A guy by the name of SonicZH‘s created a fan made game that pits Megaman against various Street Fighters in glorious 8 bit graphics. Its really impressive. It is hard to imagine how long this would have taken him.

Here’s a pretty interesting video. It is of beatboxer Hikakin who actually simulates a match between Ken and Dhalsim. Music, Sound Effects and everything. Try listening with your eyes closed.

Fans are mega hyped about Street Fighter X Tekken and Marvel Vs Capcom 3 but there is one match up that fans have bee hoping for long before there ever was a game with “VS” in the title and that is Street Fighter taking on Mortal Kombat.

While talking to NowGamer, Mortal Kombat producer Hector Sanchez gave his thought about whether we will ever see such a game, “I think it’s inevitable.” he said.

He also mentioned how Mortal Kombat creator once tried to get such a project off the ground many years ago, “Ed Boon pitched Mortal Kombat vs Street Fighter over ten years ago”.

It is nice to see the Mortal Kombat guys excited about doing something like that. However on the other said I’m pretty sure I remember reading a quote from someone at Capcom saying it isn’t likely to happen. What do you guys think? is that something you’d like to see? Maybe it’ll be something like this…

Many of you have already seen and enjoyed the Street Fighter High videos but have you ever wondered how they came about? Well the guys over at Nerd Reactor aimed to find out when they interviewed the creators of the popular Street Fighter spoof. Here’s a portion of the interview with Jennifer Zhang (Producer, Juri), Hugh Jardon (Director), and Capcom’s Gerald Hom.

Nerd Reactor: How did the original project, Street Fighter High come about?

Jennifer: It’s a nutty story, I suppose. The project really ended up being a snapshot of the two things I was really passionate about around mid-January 2010. For the better part of 2009, I had studied under the late, great Blake Snyder, and was furiously writing and revising a couple scripts using his “Save the Cat!” method (which I would recommend to any writers out there who want to jump-start their productivity, by the way). And on periodic writing-binge breaks, I was pretty obsessively Googling for news and previews of Super Street Fighter IV, which in retrospect, I was maybe just a little too stoked about. No, I take that back. I was just the right amount of stoked about it.

So one night, I was trolling the internet for gameplay footage on a break, and for some unknown reason thought to myself, “I bet Juri was a total bitch in high school.” So that kind of touched off this exercise where I tried to fit Street Fighter characters into the archetypes of teen shows.

You know when you have one of those ideas for a script that’s SO ridiculous, if you don’t write it down immediately, you know you’re going to talk yourself out of it? So I momentarily threw aside my more serious projects and dashed “Street Fighter High” off in a white heat. I did have a moment during the process when I thought, “What the EFF am I doing?” since there’s that line between “too stupid to do” and “too stupid to NOT do.” And then I wrote the words “yoga schwing” and I knew I had crossed that line into the latter.

Once it was written, there was really no going back. I was taking an acting class at the time and was looking around and it just seemed I could cast the whole thing directly out of the school. And so that week, I sent the script to my friend Carolyn McAllister, who convinced me we had to start pulling the key players together and just do the damn thing. And luckily, there was a hard deadline; I knew that if we could time the release of the fan film to sync up with the height of the marketing blitz for the new game, we’d catch a lot of that runoff from people searching for SSFIV videos, while also doing our part to pay homage to the game. From there it was all systems go.

By now most of us have read about all the anouncements from the Street Fighter panel at Comic-Con but what many of us weren’t aware of is how much of a circus it was. Check out the footage below which is was taken at the panel. Interesting if only mildly entertaining.

People have been asking about it and it looks like they are getting their wish. Super Street Fighter IV will be getting new custumes for all the fighters according to Yoshinori Ono. The new duds will show up this fall and Ono even showed off a few.

To be honest with you I’m not too impressed by the ones shown off today though Dhalsim and Cammy’s look interesting. I think I’m most happy about seeing the return of Chun Li’s Alpha costume.

Like everyone else, I’m awaiting Ono’s dropping of major Street Fighter news today. In the meantime though, we may all want to check out Capcom’s UStream account because there is likely some cool stuff going on there such as people playing Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 and whatnot. I’m not sure if Ono’s presentation will be featured on the live feed but I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled just in case. You should do the same.

So the picture above showed up in Twitter and has been confirmed as being from the local tests of the Super Street Fighter IV arcade version. As you can see that there are two empty slots. This is very much like when early versions of Super Street Fighter IV were floating around. Those also had certain fighters faces blacked out. It’s like Capcom wants you know that there are new fighters coming, they just dont want to let you know who they are yet.

There is a good chance we will find out for who these mystery fighters are this weekend as Ono-san has stated he plans on making several Street Fighter related anouncements.

So who are the new fighters? My money is on Rolento and Elena but it really could be several fighters who has been known to be fan favorites or personal favorites of Ono himself. There is actually a rumor going around that these two slots aren’t showing of how many fighters there will actually be. I’ve been hearing
